Artists Andros Zins-Browne and Ley present a day-long performance in dialogue with a new remix of Tony Cokes’s moving image commission at Dia Bridgehampton. The work engages with the material and sonic histories of the space—a firehouse-turned-First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton, now the Dan Flavin Art Institute.

The performance is durational; visitors may come and go as they wish.

Andros Zins-Browne, born in New York in 1981, works at the intersection of performance and dance. His work extends choreographic notions into encounters with dancers, nondancers, singers, objects, and texts. Previous remixes of artworks include The Tony Cokes Remixes, 10th Berlin Biennale (2018); See-Saw by Simone Forti, MoMA, New York (2019); and Jérôme Bel, 1995, 2020, KADIST, Paris, in collaboration with e-flux (2020). Since 2016, his solo performance Already Unmade has been presented at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai; and Lafayette Anticipations, Fondation Galeries Lafayette, Paris. In 2019, Atlas Unlimited, a series of exhibitions created with artist Karthik Pandian, was featured at the PERFORMA 19 Biennial, New York, and is now presented as a video series on the Criterion Channel. In 2021, his work was commissioned by Danspace Project and Triple Canopy. In 2022, Zins-Browne premiered color a body who flees, a collaborative sound installation and performance series at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. He is a contributor to Dance History(s): Imagination as a Form of Study (2023), edited by Annie-B Parson and Thomas F. DeFrantz, and published by Dancing Foxes Press in collaboration with Big Dance Theater and Wesleyan University. Zins-Browne is the recipient of awards from Goethe-Institut; Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts; Ministry of Culture of the Flemish Community Visual Arts Department; and New York State Council on the Arts.

Ley is a multidisciplinary, multidirectional crossdresser in dissolve.
