European Couples, and Others featured a series of fluorescent light sculptures from Dia's permanent collection by Dan Flavin. The core of the exhibition were corner pieces, which had not been previously exhibited. These eight works were executed between 1966-71, and consist of multiple colors including pink, yellow, and blue as well as daylight, cool, and warm shades of white

Dan Flavin was born in New York City in 1933. He died in Riverhead, New York, in 1996.
