About the Program
Investigate the prominence of the grid through the work of Dan Flavin, Robert Irwin, Sol LeWitt, and Agnes Martin. Dia guide Charlotte Schulz introduces artwork on view at Dia:Beacon and discusses the ways in which the figure of the grid operates within a larger conversation of abstraction. (1 hour)

Charlotte Schulz
Charlotte Schulz studied art at Kent State University, Ohio, and the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she received her MFA in 1993. She is the recipient of individual artist fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. She maintains a studio in Peekskill, New York, and teaches at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.
