Paul Pfeiffer was born in Honolulu in 1966. In his work across video, sculpture, and photography he explores how mass media shapes perception and consciousness. Recent solo exhibitions include Red Green Blue, Paula Cooper Gallery, New York (2022–23); Still Life, International Center of Photography and MTA Arts & Design, New York (2023); Prologue to the Story of the Birth of Freedom, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2023–24), traveling to Guggenheim Bilbao (2024–25); and Revelation 21, carlier gebauer, Berlin (2024). Recent group exhibitions include those at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta (2022); Toronto Biennial of Art (2022); and Palazzo Grassi, Venice (2024). Pfeiffer lives in New York.
