Sarah Demeuse is a curator, translator, and writer. In 2010, she co-founded Rivet, a curatorial office whose projects include events, writing, workshops, and exhibitions. In recent years, Rivet has developed projects in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, and P! in New York, as well as with partners in Beirut, Belgium, Norway, and Spain. She also coordinated Mark Manders’s solo exhibition at Museo de Arte Carillo Gil (MACG) and Casa Barragán in Mexico City in 2011. Her writing has appeared in Art Papers, Arquine, Bulletins of the Serving Library, Kunsthart, Paper Monument, and Triple Canopy, among others. She holds a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from University of California Berkeley, and an MA in Curatorial Studies from Bard College. She lives in Brooklyn.
