About the program
Pairing painting and sculpture with poetry, Dia Guide Peter Iannarelli will invite visitors to explore how the written word and the visual arts can compliment each other, creating a multidisciplinary art experience. Utilizing poetry as a point of entry for works in Dia:Beacon’s collection, visitors on this tour will examine works by Robert Ryman, Agnes Martin, On Kawara, Michael Heizer, Gerhard Richter, Louise Bourgeois, and Richard Serra. About the Guide
Peter Iannarelli is an exhibiting and teaching artist based in the Hudson Valley. A graduate of Pratt Institute, Peter has worked with the Dia:Beacon education and public programs departments, both teaching in the schools and as a long-time museum guide. His artwork is included in the permanent collection of the Dorsky Museum, and has been included in exhibitions at the University Art Museum, University At Albany, SUNY, as well as galleries in New York City and nationally. In his sought-after tours, Peter enthusiastically shares his perspective on the museum’s collection with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
