Please join Dia Art Foundation and the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) in celebrating the work of our summer teen program participants as they present findings and a final project from the Dia x CUP Teen Urban Investigation on Museums
at Dia:Beacon on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
The Dia x CUP teen investigators will present their findings at two special events: first at Dia:Chelsea on October 5 and then at the Dia:Beacon Community Free Day on October 19. Learn more about the October 5 presentation here
On October 19, participants will present their experiences of the program and their final projects. Based on their findings, the teens invented imaginary museums of the future through models and stories. These stories are published in an illustrated booklet, which will be available for sale at the students’ final presentations and as a free download on the Dia and CUP websites.
This project is a collaboration of the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), Dia Art Foundation, CUP teaching artist Katarzyna Balug, and selected students from Dutchess County. It is supported, in part, by the Dyson Foundation.
