Please join Dia Art Foundation and the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) in celebrating the work of our summer teens. They will present their findings and final projects from the Dia x CUP Teen Urban Investigation on Museums
at Dia:Chelsea on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
The Dia x CUP teen investigators will present their findings at two special events: first at Dia:Chelsea on October 5 and then at the Dia:Beacon Community Free Day on October 19 (learn more about that presentation here
On October 5, the teens will present their experiences of the program and engage in a creative conversation on the future of museums, joined by:
- - Yasmil Raymond, Curator, Dia Art Foundation
- - Prerana Reddy, Director of Public Events, Queens Museum of Art
- - Gonzalo Casals, Deputy Executive Director, El Museo del Barrio
The teens’ creative investigations are highlighted in an illustrated booklet, which will be available for sale at this event and as a free download on the CUP and Dia websites.
This project is a collaboration of the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), Dia Art Foundation, CUP teaching artist Katarzyna Balug, and selected students from Dutchess County. It is supported, in part, by the Dyson Foundation.
