R. H. Quaytman lives and works in New York. She received a BA in painting from Bard College (1983) and attended postgraduate programs at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin (1984), and the Institut des HautesÉtudes en Arts Plastiques in Paris (1989). Exhibitions include solo shows at the ICA Boston (2010); Miguel Abreu Gallery, New York; Vilma Gold, London; and Silberküppe, Berlin; and a survey at the Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, New York (2011). Her work was also included in the 2010 Whitney Biennial, and her painting series I Modi, Chapter 22, was included in the 2011 Venice Biennial.
